True, but was first game in the round, which is sorta the rule toxic and I live by rather than the particular day it's played on. It's just that Friday is normally the first game of the round

Largely irrelevant whether it's the second, fifth or ninth game of the round. The rule we both use is no VC in the first game of the round (which just normally happens to be a Friday). You didn't have to agree with it, but that's our opinion and it's served us both well

I can't recall them ever playing on a Friday night. I'm not sure TBCH.

they dont get friday nite games as the QLD tv is geared towards NRL on a Friday nite

That's all it is really, a superstition. Don't know what it is about the first game of the round. Seems to be played differently, a lot tighter game. Can't really explain it, just works more often than not. Must say I don't like putting the C on the last game either, but it's not a rule.

Yeah, was happy to risk Gaz going big for the opportunity of a POD C, esp with Pendles and Libba not going huge. Think I'll go with Sandi, Gaz is getting too far ahead of JPK and I can't afford the bottom end of what Smith can dish up :/.

Why limit it to "super-premos"? How many are there apart from GAJ and Pendles?

Most players would consider using the VC loophole on what you would call a "normal" premo, or any player that is capable of going huge.
This gives players an opportunity to field a "unique" POD captain.

So, using your benchmark of 130+
Of 14 rounds
7 featured premos/potential VC's scoring over 130. So that's half the season full of Friday night premo goodness.
5 of those rounds had premos over 140. Lock 'em in.
