Round 14 Trades

A little early for this but pretty big week for trades i'd say with many injuries sustained during the weekend. Some might have to bite the bullet with Cornes, Burgoyne, Salopek, Waters, Hayes all looking like they may miss games. I've got both Cornes and Burgoyne, really not sure how i'll go about trading this week. I have 7 trades and 170k but starting to think along the lines of,

Cornes plays:
Palmer --> Bartel
Geary --> Eddy
Then Hartlett/Brown to replace Burgoyne for a week or so.
5 trades left with 220k in the bank

or

Burgoyne --> Mackie/Newman/Bowden
Palmer --> Bartel
5 trades left with 80-90k

Cornes doesn't play:
Burgoyne --> Mackie/Newman/Bowden
Palmer --> Bartel
5 trades left with 80-90k

or

Palmer --> Bartel
Geary --> Eddy
Then Hartlett and Brown to replace Burgoyne and Cornes for a week or so.
5 trades left with 220k in the bank

In all situations i'd still have Morton starting but his price is rising rapidly, also scoring well so there is no need to trade him out just yet. Still will need a bit of money for that upgrade in a few weeks though.

A little early as i said but anyone else having trouble figuring out what options they have?

Upgrade Rioli/Masten to a star given I have about 200,000 in the bank.

Ill be trading Burgoyne out this week. Have Urquhart to cover Cornes, but need to keep a full team on the park. Looking at picking up either Fisher or Wheatley. Im more interested in getting Wheatley (just for someone unique), but im worried that Melbourne might shut down his season early when they go into full tank mode.

Ill probably get Birchall costing 15k.
Myers can stay as my 7th back I recon after his performance today.
I could afford Palmer -> Bartel/Kornes but is it worth it?
I might consider doing that trade at finals because I have Chad/Cox/Burton just an injury waiting to happen. Hopefully Burton can get through the season!

I was thinking about Wheatley a while back but he is just like Drummond, way to injury prone. He has had a shocking run with soft tissue injuries over his career, just way to much of a risk i think.

Ah fair play, cheers for the tip. I dont really know a hell of a lot about him, just that he is in good form at the moment.

He apparently has a knee injury and also spent time off the ground on Saturday with a calf problem. Choco said he might be rested for a few weeks in the post-match interview.

Will be keeping Chad until after the break (if there's no solid news) then I'll make a decision. Taylor should provide decent enough cover.

Team is finished now, but if Chad's out for a while I won't hesitate in getting rid of him.

Yeah, you're right.
If I have injury trades later I might make an upgrade but it isn't likely.

Would rather Chad not play and keep his value than play and get 40's.

Im pritty happy with my back line and midfield atm. However, i need some help with my foward line: It currently consits of:

Franklin (HAW)
Didak (COLL)
Gia (WB)
Tredrea (PA)
Dew (HAW)
Brown (B.L)
Rioli (HAW)

Mayne (FRE)
Kennedy (WC)

I want to trade Rioli out and was also thinking about trading Tredrea. I have one of two options:

-Trade Rioli in for L Hansen, frees up some cash to upgrade a Tredrea to Pavlich, Richardson, Murphy. Put Mayne into my best 22, and leaving Hansen as emerg earning valuable coin.

-Trade Rioli for Hansen (who i have been given mail will be playing regularly from now on) and then trade Dew out for like a Porpylzia, Medhurst, akermanis, delido. Replace Rioli in my best 22 with Mayne and Dew is replaced by my new upgraded foward. So pritty much the two options would like this:

Option A:

Franklin
Didak
Gia
Brown
Mayne
Dew
Pavlich/Richo/Murphy

Hansen
Kennedy




Option B:
Franklin
Didak
Gia
Brown
Mayne
Tredrea
Porpylzia/Medhurst/JA

Burgoyne -> Fisher.

My backline would then be:

Cornes, Shaw, Mackie, Bock, Fisher, Goddard, Birchall, Urquhart, Proud

Urquhart can cover for Chad while he is out. Considering who I already have, I dont see many other options besides Fisher. Dont trust the Richmond backs, dont trust Drummond and Wheatley from an injury stand-point. Plus the Saints play Essendon in R22, so Fisher should carve.

- This is by far my weakest department. i have 180k in the bank.
- Soi can afford any ruckmen, do i go Cox? or do i get White or Hille?

You now run the risk of Cox being rested due to the eagles no longer in finals contention + i heard hes not exactly traveling right with that foot of his. Best get Hille/White/Sandilands if you can.

Depending on how long Chornes is out for I'm thinking

Ellis -> Birchall
Symes (yeh I've kept him so long) -> Mackie

That way if Cornes is only going to miss a week or 2 I can use Myers to cover him (my other reserve is SDT). I also get 2 premium backs for only 2 trades.

Any thoughts? 6 trades left at the moment...
