the tough thing with these votes is Carlisle & Heppell were the only 2 real standouts. there's 15 players who are equally worthy of votes...... I mean how do you separate Merrett, Zaka, Ryder, Chappy, Baguley, Hooker and Stants? they were all equally outstanding.

5. Bags - We kept them to 27 points, have to give it to the guy who was absolutely beast. Not only in stopping goals but running off the backline and spearing some passes.
4. Carlisle - B.E.A.S.T (buckets easily ass stomped tryhards)
3. Chapman - livewire early on when we needed to put the foot down.
2. Heppell - amazing quality of possessions despite the tag
1. Myers -stood up inside when it counted.

There were really no 'poor' players.. everyone played their role.. Hooker was immense on Cloke.. Fletcher and Hurley solid.. Dempsey did everything right.. Stanton, Zaka and Howlett all got plenty of the ball and used it well.. the Merrett brothers used speed and smarts to rip the game open.. Winderlich looked fantastic down back, again...

Just a seriously good effort.

Yeah there were a couple (Melksham and J Merrett drifted in and out) but I think they all played a role.. I mean JD took a couple of grabs.. led hard to space.. created a lot of opportunities for good F50 entries by dragging defenders out..

I'd say JD played a role today.. probably the same role he should have been playing all year.. that of 3rd tall forward..

He didn't dominate.. but played his role.

I thought Melk was really good today, especially in the corridor. it was Bomber Thomson like (as in the player). nothing flashy. just smart decisions. the opposite of what he's dished up this year!

4. Heppell - when the opposition gives up on the tag because its not working - you know the players doing something pretty good.
3. Baguley - feel this guy gets underrated a lot because of his position. He was just amazing. I swear he's getting quicker and becoming a better kick (amazing when hes like 25).
2. Chapman - turned back the clock today was terrific from the word go. Brought intensity we haven't seen from him for a while.
1. Hooker - Dominated Cloke from the word go.
