Will have to burn a trade either way. I don't have bench cover in the mids, so I either need to bring in Mora/HC or Rockliff/JPK/Libba.

Also have finally lost patience with Swan. Only 1 trade left FTL.

4-6 for Gaz.... come on down Fyfledinho

If GAJ is out for the whole season I'll trade, but if it's 4 weeks or less I might just switch one of Bartel/Swallow/McVeigh to the mids via Grimes DPP & use GAJ as a C loophole. Could be a handy POD during SC finals against teams that have burnt all their trades.

But what if they say he'll be out for 4 weeks and he ends up missing 6 or 7? that's the dilemma for all of us. If it's listed as 4 weeks then for me he's gone. Anything less than that and it'll be a quandary. At the moment for me though, trading Ablett is the only way I can raise enough cash to trade out Swan. He's seriously stuffed me around the last six weeks.

Ablett to Rocky or Fyfe should give me enough cash to upgrade Swan to NDS.

For leagues saving the trades till week 1 of finals might be best if you can, particularly if you are already defined in the top 8 as either a top 4 team or a team in the lower parts of the 8.

Very little difference between 5th and 8th, and likewise 1st and 4th

TBH weird as it sounds losing Ablett opens things up for me because I have 8 trades but bugger all cash (and too many bench rookies that are not making cash). Will look to profit on Ablett to a cheaper option, I would have gone Stokes if he wasn't injured so probably Dal Santo I think, and use the cash to finish my forward line

Anyone think Fyfe could still be rested late?

Anyone think Fyfe could still be rested late?

Yes. That Brisbane game screams 'rest a few' and Lyon has form for that.

I have Fyfe and for the above reason I won't get Barlow, don't want to risk another Freo mid during finals.

Every game will be important for Freo though. That top 4 is going to be very tight and could come down to percentage for the top 2 spots...

Ablett -> Pendles
McGovern -> Honeychurch

Leaves me with 8 trades and about $300k to use on upgrading Watts, Suckling and Tex to complete my side. Should have 5 trades to save for LTIs/minor upgrades.

Like many, it will be Ablett and Swan out, best two mids I dont have in.

At least I have 3 trades left, leaves one for further injuries. Praying that Hibberd and H.Shaw return sooner rather than later.....

3 trades left, and a likely league win next week - might put Shenton onfield for Gaz, and not trade. Feels a bit dirty. :confused:

Means I can get Mitchell in for Docherty ~$40k cheaper next week though. Time to stop chipping away in futility at the overall rankings. :thumbsu:

As much as Ablett is a must have, he's too much money to have sitting out for 4 weeks, and too many points that I could be scoring elsewhere in his absence. And with 9 trades, I feel like I can afford to use a couple.

Ablett -> Rockliff/Fyfe

2 weeks time:
D. Gardiner -> Rookie
Wingard -> JPK (VIA Gray)

Few weeks later
Under performing mid premo -> A cheaper Ablett

It's a rough plan, but it's the best I've got right now

Round 17: Ablett > JPK and bag the 80K (4 trades left)

Round 19ish: Laidler & Ambrose > Rookie DEF & Premo FWD (2 trades left)

Round 21ish: McDonald & Cash Cow > Premo DEF & Rookie DEF/MID/RUC/FWD (0 trades left)
