Well thanks heck that's over. Too many talls and our defence found out a little bit. Vickery down back experiment was a colossal failure and Petterd needs some more schooling in how to deal with a forward line like Sydneys.

It's fair to say it was a very un-influential 30-possession performance from Cotchin.

another tall defender needs to play. got exposed vs the swans tall forwards, hawks are similar up forward.

shane edwards needs to be played forward. we are seriously lacking scoring power this year.

Selection was a mistake needed to bring in Astbury or even McGuane to cover all their tall forwards
The failure once again for Deledio to deal with a hard tag. It's not good enough for the vice captain and one of the highest paid players to just drop his head when he gets attention given to him. For the rest of the season I'd be sending him to the oppositions best midfielder every week and get him to work his arse off. Racking up touches once the horse has bolted is not makings of a champion. The lack of impact from Vickery and Maric either up forward or around the ground. Simply not good enough from our rucks, especially in a game where we needed to give our midfielders first crack at the ball.

Toast:
Martin and Riewoldt, one just signed a new deal and the other is one we need to sign ASAP. These 2 tried their guts out today to keep us in the contest. Unfortunately for them the weight of numbers were just too great. We now know just how far off the best sides we really are. The commentators and media 'experts' can now forget about we're a sneaky chance for the top 4. Lets just make sure we make finals and give ourselves the best chance to put up a decent show in them.

Beaten by a far superior football side. A couple of blokes no doubt, but shit they're good. Certainly better than us, and if not known before hand, confirm we're an 8 to 6 side only. No better than that just yet. But we're getting there.
 
Deledio needs to have a real good hard look at himself. He didn't get a kick until the game was iced.

Hypothetically if he's only $700k a year based a 22 game season, he just "earned" about $31k for that performance.

Do we no how to shepherd, basic football skill yet we don't use week after week. Terrible team selection why we didn't have another tall is staggering.
Lay off lids he might not b getting as many possessions, but the ones he get a far more productive than 90% of players ie JACKO

Any chance at all we can pick 3 tall defenders, I don't give a **** who the third is Griffiths or Astbury. But stop being smart thinking a guy like Pettered can defend monsters :thumbsdown:
And same goes for the other end of the ground, your not going to challenge top sides having Jack one against 4 when Vickery gives Maric a chop out. 6 talls minimum is just a basic football set up at any level :eek:
