We play on the Sunday afternoon:

No shock there, if we'd even won one of our last 6 games we would have got a Saturday time slot, but because we've sucked arse over the last month we are stuck with the Sunday time slot for teams whose season is over.

Nice spot to be at this stage of the season #futureisbright

#tankingforpick7 (which we will then trade for Treloar anyway).

We'll be heading into finals off the back of 5 wins in a row! #hotstreak :D
That happens and I'll personally start the petition to sign Bucks for another 5 years :D #plumsontheline

Here's the ultimate test for the VFL now.

They know the round 23 fixture weeks out, no excuses when it comes to our first final not clashing with the seniors game now.

Seriously, of the games left so far this season I'm looking more forward to the VFL finals then the senior games.

If they put the VFL final on up against Essendon I will go to the VFL game.

I would have thought Hawthorn would have been given the Friday night game as they should finish in the top four. I understand that WCE, Freo and Sydney can't have it as they all play on the previous Sunday. To be honest I just hate Richmond.

and Be Super Small Crowd.

As Essendon will be Tanking for a Higher Pick.

Hopefully we can Flog Them and Finally Piss Hird the Turd out of the AFL for good

The f-ckwits did the same in 2010, when they fixtured the Collingwood vs Bullants elimination final right up against the Collingwood vs Hawthorn dead rubber at the G. It meant we had the unedifying spectacle of Paul Medhurst arriving at North Port Oval with his kit bag during the second quarter, having been a stand-by emergency for the seniors, going in cold without a proper warmup. It was also shocking from a personal point of view, with stalwarts like Shane O'Bree and Tarkyn Lockyer (and Medders) playing their last games in front of a crowd that was 90% Bullant supportive, while the bulk of the Collingwood constituency had its eyes trained on the MCG.

So, they have form, although they have been okay by avoiding a clash the last two years...

If we play Essendon first week of VFL finals (fair chance) then consider having it as a curtain raiser game perhaps?

It would be nice, yes.

But not likely though, given the run home of the respective teams challenging for the top 4. And the AFL seem reluctant to play curtain raisers anyway, given we likely won't get to stage the Richmond one we had planned. But in the event that Collingwood and Essendon do play each other in the first week, it would likely be home final for Essendon at Windy Hill.

They'd hopefully schedule it with enough time to get between grounds.

Well the VFL has shown they can be Total Idiots with Fixturing

The problem is we are going to have to hold a good player over for the afl game on sunday as emergency. It means the vfl team loses a good player.

Not necessarily. Could always hold over a player who the VFL team won't miss too much or is replaceable (ie: Goodyear, Manteit, Armstrong), especially if the senior match is a dead rubber.

True, but all 3 of theae guys have played all season for the vfl team, then have to miss a final. Tough on them

Yeah, but if we finish top 4, then they would get another chance the next week or a fortnight later.

This is bullshit what's the bet we get a Friday night final and only the 5 days to recover. I'm going to start a riot if we get shafted in the finals.
