well, how will this gaem be played ?

do you think stkilda will be shattered after last weeks los?

will the heat have got to them and therefore be lethargic this week?
who will stand up in the back line now that there is no gherig?
who is going to kick the goals? will it be enough?

is st kilda in as much dire straits as the bulldogs?

your thoughts please?

Samm, why does every post of yours have this really jittery vibe that seems like you are panicking?

They're a professional football club, they have people looking after the players & the club so that people like you and I can just do down and watch games of football. They are paid to do the worrying. Now I'm not saying that you shouldn't be allowed to worry or be concerned, but just act a little cooler. The titanic is not always sinking. I can feel your anxiety through your writing.

In particular it was this line that got me: is st kilda in as much dire straits as the bulldogs?

How's that at all relevant?

The reality is we are not even 1/10th of the season in yet, there's plenty of football between now and Round 22. Let's see it unfold first together & let's ride the highs and lows together.

This is not an attack on you because I enjoy your contributions - however please take this as friendly advice that we're not falling apart at the seams. We have a lot of kids down at the club with good character that will ensure success in the long term. Maybe we will fall over some hurdles this year, but there are too many improvements to our list to see a degradation in performance this year.

Peace out & Go Saints.

I was trying to get discussion going abut the port game, as its been quiet here , thats all!!!

am not jittery, and understand the there will be ups and sown, but if you don't want to discuss the port game that s ok!

Please don't take it the wrong way, I admire the way you wear your heart on your sleeve on the forums, it's great.

It's just comments like "is st kilda in as much dire straits as the bulldogs?". I mean it's hardly related to the Port game at all is it.

I can tell that you read into what the media says- I'm just trying to say, take it with a grain of salt.

sammm, it's a friday and with every friday hope springs eternal, even for us saints supporters. forget about whats happened in the past and the perilous state of some of the melbourne clubs in the competition and enjoy watching our team play on sunday.

when friday comes around i put on my red, white and black blinkers and find a few positives to take into the game on sunday. if we beat port on sunday it will not be any great shock to the football world it will be a slight upset, so given that logic then we must be a chance to win. :D

some positives for sunday are:

* the form of austinn jones has been sensational
* we have won our last 2 games at colonial and the players might actually start to treat the ground like home.
* stewie loewe looked damaging at full forward last week and should be kept there for the whole game.
* reiwoldt and kossi got their hands on plenty of the ball in the first 1/2 last week and just need to learn to run out a whole game.
* debut of xavier clarke, hopefully he will have a long and successful career at the club.
* this game is a chance to show us that this group of players is committed to the cause even though our top 3 players are out injured.
* we hold a 5-2 winning record against port, who are yet to show much in the proper season to date.

go saints .
:D :D
