Can’t beat AFL House. Tremendous effort, left ourselves with plenty to do at times despite the whistle. But boy…that whistle.

Positives
• Hewett. Didn’t think he should have come straight in, now should never be dropped again.
• JWill. Good boy as Derm would say.
• Flynn threw himself about, had a poor patch in the third but redeemed himself time and again in the last.
• Graham, alright mate.
• Hutch’s best game. Tremendous workrate.
• Better foot skills and we win that in a canter. Nice to see some return for effort on the handball game.

**** the negatives tonight. Figure them out tomorrow. Very cruel loss, boys should be proud.

But **** me, how good did it feel to finally see the team compete, chase, and want to win the game.
If they play with that effort every week, some wins will come.

Still got flogged in some of the key areas, but could have won, should have won, and the value of a win after the extreme negativity and disappointment around the club would have been huge.

Didn't think I could feel any worse for McQualter after the first 5 weeks, but **** me, that is an absolutely cruel result for a coach who desperately needed something to get some buy in from players.

Mini is an unlucky sob.

• Best game i've seen from Flynn

Hutchinson will be a player one day, just a bit clumsy at times
I liked how Archer Reid used tackle pressure to still be part of the game

Surest bet in football right now is a key tall kicking a bag on us.
Centre square clearances shockingly bad.
