Named on the bench this week doesn’t instil a lot of confidence though. Late withdrawal has just become a significant possibility.

Being named on the bench might just be a message from the coach about last weeks incident. Pretty obvious the club was not happy with the way he reacted and they knew he was very lucky to be playing this week.

I was going Selwood, but having just traded in Murphy I think ill go Murphy captain as nearly all the gun mid has scored big against GWS so far.

Gun Mids vs GWS: Griffen 155, Boyd 133, Kennedy 137, Harvey 137, Bastinac 151, S.Selwood 145, Shuey 141, Thompson 110.

Only other concern was with Judd not there does this impact on Murphys scores ... however just checked and Murphy still scored 145 against Cats last year when Judd didnt play.

I don't like that Selwood was named on the bench. I'm also not confident going with Murphy, because Judd is out so he will get all the attention.

Murphy willl still score well as the GWS taggers are are hardly lock down. I am more concerned if they are a long way up Murphy mind find himself subbed out as a way of resting him.

Or is Swan a safer option??

Going to go for a roughy and make Cloke my captain against a weakend doggies backline especially if they throw Austin on him could turn out to be a great night.

Was going to go Selwood...but there are a few signs that he may not score as big as he has done, this week...named on the bench...few knocks last week...game time might be slightly less...dees have Magner to go to him....unlikely but could even be subbed if the game is over midway through the third to preserve him.

So Going with Swan. In form and should have a field day with Picken going to Pendles. If he uses the ball well he'll get 130-140 for sure.

If Selwoods picked, cant go past him this week, provided of course he plays. If he doesn't i'll prob just play it safe and go Pendles, although Barlow does present an interesting option.

He´s a 1st yr captain.........no way on this planet is he going to be rested. If he has a niggle yeah maybe. But not against Melbourne.
