Well I just hit my first royal flush ever. It was a tournament and unfortunately I didn't get full value out of it. I did a good job to build up the pot before I hit it on the river, but didn't get a call once I did hit. Not sure if he was chasing and didn't hit or if there were just too many scare cards out there because I wasn't too aggressive on the river, but here it is...

hmmm you were utg and the table shows you only need a K for a straight. So perhaps a check on the river and they think you've missed it or you are scared of the straight (presuming you've bet every street before).

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I had bet on every street and TBH once the river came up I was only looking at the last three cards on the board and had completely disregarded the 10.

Very nice.

Ive never even had a straight flush, though I did fold one in tragic circumstances about a year ago.

This was back when I used to play APL. I was BB and served 6c8c.. Mega action around the table and IIRC it was the last hand before the break and I had about 2k in chips.

There were 3 all ins before the flop(typical last hand b4 break play at APL) and if i had've had around 1k I prob would've called just so I wouldnt conme back so short stacked.

Anyway the flop came 5c7c9c and I would've flopped a straight flush :(
