Hey, I thought I saw Rucci searching the Adelaide Football Club bins this morning on the way to work!!

To me it appears "The Advertiser" have their journos rotate between the 2 Adelaide AFL teams. We seem to have Rucci write up about Port for a week or 2 while Capel writes about the Crows, and then they switch over with Capel writing about Port etc.

Mind you this is just for the actual game coverage. Rucci seems to write up any 'headline' stories like Coaching Futures for both clubs etc etc. Often sprouting as many scenerios as possible so he can always say "he told you so".

Once again, you wonder how he became Chief Football Writer.

Any discerning football fan knows a single win means nothing and it needs to be continued over the course of the season. What kind of gumby is Rucci?

By saying stuff like that he then can take (undeserving) credit when/if it happens, but if it does happen he always has a different headline stating something different.

No, Rucci is that stupid Bombers2003. The rest of the Advertiser staff aren't great, but he is the worst. I guess as Chief Football Writer he is effectively Chief Moron.

Though he has straightened up noticeably since he received a lot of attacks on this board after the Ayres sacking. Maybe I can take some credit!

I doubt it. The 'tiser doesn't report, it delivers sermons that it believes the people want to hear and that will sell papers.

Right now Craig being the new messiah is the message. If public mood shifts somewhere else the tiser will follow.
