Very fascinating article in the Herald Sun on the weekend about what Graham Wright arriving as CEO of Carlton might mean both on and off the field. Article strongly implied that De Koning is welcome to go to St Kilda at such a ridiculous price, and other high profile 'stars' could be moved on.

He left Saints because they are a mediocre at best club and didn’t treat family well.

Saints have since completed a review of how they integrate players family and partners as a result of him leaving for less money than Saints offered.
