Run up speed

When a player takes a set shot, they are allowed to go back and get a bit of a run up. Is there anything preventing a player walking far back Ben Brown style and then doing a full on sprint towards the man on the mark before kicking it? Would an umpire call play on at this point?

And then do a bullet stab pass to the guy on the mark's head?

I would say if they don't step off their line, and start the run up inside 30 secs, they can't call play on.

It’s not play on until they take the shot or run off their line.

So if Benny Brown wants to start his line up from the centre square , and as long he’s started the approach within 30 seconds, its not against the rules

Are they allowed to run directly into the man on the mark and knock them over? I guess it would be like what you see in rugby league or British Bulldog except if the man on the mark flinches, they give way a 50m penalty.
