My take is we are the worst in the league with this. I don't know the stats but it frustrates me seeing our defenders walking over the line with the ball and conceding. They seem to prefer to do this and then set up again to try and bring it out. It's the most negative aspect of our back line. The backs should be working together to do all they can to not concede any points.
Watching Geelong, Hawks, Bulldogs, Collingwood, they all do everything possible not to concede and the majority of the time their persistence pays off and they bring the ball out well from defense after being in precarious positions.
Why don't our boys work like that???

I for one wish McManus had conceeded a behind last weekend. I'd be happy for them to run it out with guys like Hayden back there, but when you don't have the confidence in your team mates somethings gotta give.

You only have to get it wrong 1 in 6 times for it to be a worse strategy

theres only like 2-3 games a season where the team who kicks more goals loses, so i think its a good strategy.

Don't look at statistics. They're pretty useless at the best of times but especially when it comes to rushed behinds.

Perhaps we concede rushed behinds because we defend leading players really well inside defensive fifty and force players to take long, low percentage shots that fall short? Most of the rushed behinds I can think of are spoils over the goal line, which is a very high percentage play.

I just wish we worked in on our kick in's and getting it our of defence. If we could get it out of defense more ofter from a kick in it wouldn't be such a big thing, but becuase we struggle which means the opposition get it straight back it becomes an issue.

One of our biggest problems is failing to stop the old goal line goals. If I see another goal square goal I am going to lose it.

That is what is killing us at the moment, not rushed behinds.. Especially with out J-Lo to capitalise on it from our end.
