AFL Club
Carlton
Rusty was on The Morning Glory about half an hour ago.
Key Points:
-They had to widen the doors at Visy Park so Watson could get his head in
-Having Watson in the backline is comforting, because his giant head offers protection
-Didn't feel confident and belonging in the AFL until 3/4s of the way through his 5th year
-Thankful to Pagan and Ratts for giving him so many chances
-Loves playing off half back, and wants to take the opposition's best small-medium forward
-Wants Didak this week, but thinks there will be many rotations of the Pies' forwards
-Thought the comeback against the Tigers was a good warm-up for the Pies

He spoke very well, was a good interview. :thumbsu:

"Carlton's Jordan Russell marks Alan Didak for Collingwood clash "

CARLTON defender Jordan Russell has asked for the job on Collingwood star Alan Didak in tomorrow night's blockbuster at the MCG.

Russell said he couldn’t wait for the challenge of facing the premiers before an expected crowd of 85,000.

“I'd love to play on Didak,’’ Russell said on SEN this morning.

“It's a really good opportunity, he's up and about as the whole team are. Anyone up forward I'd love to have a go at.

If teams tag Yarran, we can use Rusty to attack from the back half.

If he can nulify Didak - who I think is the Pies second best player - like he does to Steve Johnson, well that would be bloody fantastic.

Would be just a small step on the way of causing an upset tomorrow night. One of Collingwoods strengths is that they don't rely on just one or two players to kick goals for them.

FWIW Pendlebury is the 2nd best Pies player, really has taken his game to the elite level and IMHO represents a bigger threat than Swan

But a step nonetheless. He is a very damaging player for them and one that definitely needs to be shut down.
