Weird choice since his biggest improvement was probably at the end of last year but well deserved with the overall improvement he has shown.

Ryan Anderson is a fine player but I reckon Nikola Pekovic had a pretty good claim too.

2010-11 5.5 pts 3 reb and 2.8 fouls in 13.6 mpg

2011-12 13.9pts 7.4reb and 2.1 fouls in 26.9 mpg

I include fouls stats because 2010-11 Pek could rarely stay on court long enough to play 27 minutes.

Anderson went from good to very good

Pekovic went from spud to very good.

Ilyasova probably should've won. He is crazy efficient.

Anderson is showing his true value in the finals. Unless he is spotting up for 3 off crisp ball rotations, he is an average player.

Still, bring that MIP trophy to the negotiation table and he will earn himself some extra $$. Good on him.

Good on Ryno for being MIP for 2011/12 season! Just sad that Otis Smith didn't extend him to stay at the Magics... It will come back to bite us and we'll pay overs for him like most of our players!
