havn't heard to much about the young kid but apparantly have heard has big raps. Hopefully he becomes the sought of player we need- remember was drafted as a skinny 17yr old so will take time to develop and add some bulk to his frame. Should be worth the wait, i hope.Dj Chriss said:Iv heard abit about the guy, supposedly very fast and good skills, something we need, I heasrd he got 40 possies and 3 goals in a game, anyone seen him play and any comments on the guy?

And was out for weeks injured, coming back through the magoo's magoos.bucksisbest said:Most of his highlights occurred earlier in the season and it must be kept in mind that he was a bottom-age draftee.
bucksisbest said:I saw him kick 5 goals 4 against Sandringham , but never witnessed a 40 and 3 game (and I only missed 1 Willi game).
Dazman said:Maybe it was a TAC Cup game. He kicked 3 in the Grand Final but would have been a fair way from getting 40 touches.
Sorry, but this is why you should never base an opinion on limited observation.ant22 said:My biggest concern is his lack of hardness at the footy. First glimps of him was v kangas in the praccy match and he droped a mark right in front of me because he heard footsteps. Seen him a couple of times on tv since and he does not attack the footy at all. I know he is young but we have enough of these types and if he wants to stay he needs to learn to win his own footy IMO.

Ryan Cook was drafted primarily based off his aggression and mongrel - He had so much of it that it was almost considered a downside.
However, he is very bottom aged, and it's quite simply impossible for a 17-18 year old to be thrown into a league, playing against grown men, and expect him to display the same kind of aggression that he did at underage level.
I can guarantee you that the Glen Archer you see now wasn't nearly as aggro or tough when he was 18 years old.
People fall into the same trap with Danny Stanley, especially since he's got the big body, but he's even younger than Ryan Cook.
malteaser said:Ryan also brings with him, the ability to be a great clubman. He has a level head and has the desire to improve. He is giving it his best shot and with luck with injuries and a huge pre season, Ryan will be knocking on the door. He certainly has a special quality about him. James Clement type of attitude to life and football.
I think you're confusing him with John Anthony.malteaser said:fantastic with the kids and takes the time to have a chat, polite and probably my new favourite young recruit. They are grooming him to play a clement role.
