I have to ask why do i see so much hate for him from Collingwood supporters on here.
In that worst player thread his name popped up, and in all the trade threads his name is thrown around by quite a lot of people.

I really don't know why, he is one of the few people on our list who can actually kick the ball, and some of those goals he can kick from outside 50 are great.

I thought last year he was really good for us, and showed that when MM actually uses him properly he is among our best, and easily deserving of a spot in our best 22.

Sure he is soft, not doubting that but the way he uses the ball makes up for that.

This year has been a disaster for him so far with injury but i for one hopes he comes back towards the end of the eyar and continues his handy form from last year.

None of us hate him. He's a good kick, he can carry the ball but we expect him to be consistent, that's all..
If I had a dollar for everytime I said that, I would be incredibly richer than what I am now.

Can he be used as trade bait at the end of the year? Yes. You can't deny that, Ron.

Of course not, there are maybe 10 players max on our list who shouldn't be traded, and Lonie isn't one of them.

I don't want to give him away for a third round pick though, i reckon he is more important to us than that, especially since we seriously lack players who can kick the ball.

Springer hit nail on head...simply a good player who never took the next step, but his skills, size and even versatility was enough to keep him in the side. He is injured at the moment, struggling with OP, so he may struggle for a place.

Was in best 22 at start of year like many others, who may not be, simply by losing a spot through injury/suspension.

i still like him, but defiantly should shop him around and see what we can get, i don't see a spot for him in the best 22 (injury free best 22 that is)

in the current age of hard competitive football u have to actually go in and get the ball and he is just to soft and cost us dearly on so many occasions when we didnt have enough numbers in and getting the footy. Sorry but he aint in my best 22

If we are to keep him, he now needs to play on a wing, so he needs to get more of the footy.

Goldsack appears much cooler under pressure, with Harry O, Jimmy, Presti, Heater and Rhyce as our solid back 6. Nick Maxwell also floats through there but has been used effectively as a negating forward.

He's better than o'Bree who constantly gets a game. He's an exciting player to watch, you know when he unleashes from outside 50 on the run...look out!
