Anyone else here rate his game?

To be able to keep Buddy to 4 goals with such quality supply was a pretty good effort i thought. Considering one of Franklin's goals was the result of a John's direct turnover.
 
Yeah he played pretty well. They said on MMM, and I agree, that it was surprising just how much endurance he has. But he did well. Sheeds said that we could be seeingthe start of the next Peter Knights vs. Van Der Haar. I agree.

Dont think our midfield really looked for Buddy today. Still he should have kicked 6. Ryder was pretty loose and has a lot of development. Gotta remember that Ryder hasnt had 3 seasons under his belt like Franklin so he is going to look out of his league until he gets more game time
 
Put in a solid performance considering the amount of ball that was coming in. His composure is very good and he never back chats the refs even when they are wrong (like the instance where Buddy took a dive), which shows good self control. He does seem a bit laconic at times, but I guess that is what enables him to be so composed.

He was very good. Buddy lost him in traffic a few times but generally Ryder was fantastic and had the pace to go with him on the lead. Franklins 3rd goal in the goalsquare was a free to Paddy aswell. He can take away a positive attitude from that game.
 
Decent game...He seems very slow to react which is my only concern right now but has all the skills required. He was blocked out of a few leads today which was very disturbing
 
played well today considering the umpires gave him no help at all. buddy got 1 of his goals which should not have been allowed because he pushed ryder in the back. he was doing it to him all day and the umpires did nothing. it was like the forwards are allowed to do it but the defenders arent. ABSOLUTE CRAP!

like when buddy took a dive! Ryder put in a great effort and whoever that tool is who said he looked out of his league has no clue.

The only problem at the moment is that he lookes like the only defender coming through the system at the moment that might be any good so he may have to play down back permanately.
 
Thought he did very well considering the quality delivery Franklin was getting. Some f-ckwit behind me kept saying Ryder was a dud and should be traded. At one point I turned around him and told him to f--k off home if that was his attitude. He went very quiet after that.

I heard that!!! LOL! That guy was pissing me off!!! I wanted to snot him one!
 
Buddy is just all class at the moment. The delivery into their forward line was pretty spot on most of the time and nothing Ryder couldve done prevented that.

I agree. Thought he was pretty good today. Glad Kevin left him on Buddy for the whole game.

did a pretty good job

once he is 100% switched on and becomes desperate he will be a gun

needs to have a look at somebody like craig bolton who doesn't give an inch and makes you work for every kick

Buddy pisses me off. The only way he can take a contested mark is to push the player suare in the back and the umps never see it...

Im really beginning to not enjoy the game with all these ridiculous frees being paid. All this talk about making it a free flowing game and contested situations are a recipe for disaster on the scoreboard.
 
ryder did ok, did get bumped off the lead alot...

Which leads to my quiestion...are you even allowed to bump a player off

the ball whilst he is trying to keep up with his opponent??? if so why dont

we get big mal to shirtfront every full back that tries to keep up with

Ryder was lucky not to get pinged a few times where he dragged Buddy from the ball. He wasn't even looking at the ball.
