the 21 year old tassie mid out of contract, had interest in going to crows last year but dogs held him to contract.

would imagine tassie are hoping he signs a short term deal so they can pounce after when they enter the comp
Gut tells me he is gone.

How good is he as an inside mid? Why was he dropped last year, just development inconsistancy?

He's solid without being grat,

Was out of form and struggling to get the pill and impact games late,

Started the year fairly well,

He's more of a Matt Crouch type IMO

Out of contract at the end of the year, so if he wants to go to Tassie what does he do? Different story if the SA links are proven to be true.

sign a 1 year deal to stay then leave to tassie

Tassie will need to trade no matter and will have picks they must trade for players.

They aren't getting any decent youngsters for free.

Sign a 3 yr deal for security and then ask for a trade if he wants to move.

Tassie won't be haggling too much.

they can get out of contract players for free and yes they also have picks they must trade but they would do so for contracted players

'The ability to sign up to 18 out-of-contract AFL players across a 2-year window (covering the years immediately prior to TDFC entry year and TDFC entry year), with a maximum of one (1) player per Club in total.'

That's great for Tassie team.

Not great for a player and job security signing short deals.

Interesting one, so what does that mean for someone like Sanders? Tassie can sign him at the end of this year, what does he do for 2027? Doggies forced to give him a a 1 year deal?

That’s not how Connors works. He likes to ream us.

We’ve seen this story before, we will ultimately hold onto the player a year too long and lose them for unders.

If I were the Dogs I'd be forcing a 2 year deal and then a trade.

If all he wants is 1 year trade him now and get something for him.

Hasn't there been rumours of his family shifting to SA to join his brother? I don't think the Tassie move is of major concern, it's more about whether Adelaide makes another play for him next year. At this stage I feel that SA is his most likely home in 2027

If he stays injury free for the remainder of the year, i'd hope we are right into luring him to the crows with a big offer that no doubt would net the dogs band 1...it would have to be a big enough offer anyway to make him choose to leave tassie money behind.

He would be a very good addition to our side imo

He’s not a free agent you’d have to trade for him.

Get mail from a very good source.

The talk during last trade period re: Sanders > Adelaide was correct
He was keen on the move , WB asked for Mark Keane and had no interest in Butts so the deal fell over quickly.

His brother Ollie plays in the SANFL at Norwood and there is talk his parents are relocating to SA.

He has a 1 year gap between being OOC and the Tasmanian team coming in , there is no way WB offer a 1 year deal without knowing compensation and a chance of being screwed over.

Adelaide likely offer their 1st rounder and he joins on a long-term deal.

Hamish Ogilvie had an absolute hard on for him in his draft year, but he was gone before our first selection (still picked up Curtin so that was a win), they have been into him since

Deal would get done quickly as WB likely just roll that 1st rounder into a package for Zac Butters

Unless he has a disappointing season, or Adelaide has a REALLY bad one, I’m inclined to think a single 1st won’t even get the Dogs in the room to begin with

Maybe Ryley will be interested in joining the team that he grew up supporting?

Optimistic but the fact you think so, and would know more than me, makes me more interested, but its hard to get excited by his type really, too many handball, not enough impact
