Case 2 - Swapped Interchanges.

The West Coast Wonders have been charged with violating Section 5A with an incorrect positional change in their R3 team sheet.

In their R2 teamsheet, the Wonders had former skipper Sab22 was named on the right hand side of the interchange bench.

In their Round 3 Team Sheet, they dropped Sab22 for craffles, putting BallaratBulldog on the Interchange bench. However, their mistake was the unnoted swapping of BlueMaster1 and BallaratBulldog.

As this is technically an incorrect positional change, this is regarded as a Medium Impact offence, which means Wonders Co-Captains Sab22 and haydo will serve a one match suspension in Round 4.

As per usual, the West Coast Wonders have the right to appeal this decision. If they wish to appeal, they have until 11.59pm Sunday 21/02 to do so.

On one hand, Ljp86 and ClarkeM are correct in that the breaches we've seen are ridiculous. On the other hand, this one is kinda funny.

I must say, NaturalDisaster, you are doing a splendid job. :thumbsu:

I know Cadsky and the West Coast Wonders to be reasonable and sensible participants of the league that would accept the penalty without wasting the precious time of the Sweet F.A committee.

Precedent already exists for this penalty !!
I actually think that 1 game isn't enough - they should also miss round 5 against the Rats 😀.

NaturalDisaster please provide reference to the precedence already set for a) shifting a player from one interchange to the other being a positional change and b) both captains being responsible for team sheet errors when only one captain posts the team.

As a new captain I am simply asking for references of previous instances regarding the matters of which myself and my co-captain have been charged with to assess our options. Like a good legal counsel would do before pleading guilty.

Just haul haydo in for a dressing down on the matter.

Meh. The Wonders cop our lumps. We could have squealed like stuck pig Bombers but it is not our way as the leading team of the Comp since its inception.

Having two captains implies that both are performing the duties of captain, which includes posting correct teamsheets. As for precendence, I'm not going looking for it myself but whoever raised it is correct - someone else copped a penalty for doing the same thing in the last couple of seasons.

And as for the interchange being classified as two seperate positions that require positional changes to be advise if moved from one side to the other?

Yeah mate. haydo should be all over this stuff.

The Roys and captain TedDougChris are charged with a Medium Impact offence for not listing teamsheet changes correctly.

In round 12, Freakie was listed as left interchange, which is different to his round 11 position of right interchange.

The Roys may appeal this charge in this thread and stating their reasons for doing so by 12pm tomorrow.

They both have captain badges - therefore they both cop the suspension. Case closed. :)
