Fundraiser S33 In Memory of Deaneus! Charity Match - ALL-SFA PAST vs ALL-SFA PRESENT

One month has passed since Big Footy has lost a much loved person across the whole site when
Deaneus! on the 16th of January sadly lost his battle with cancer

He was a Mount Buller legend winning the following awards during his career

S19 Rookie of the Year
S20 cats2rise Medal (goalkicking)
S20 Deestroy Medal (MBD best & fairest)
S26 Best defender

As mentioned in Round.1 where both Mount Buller and the Wonders had a minutes silence prior to the game
Mount Buller Demons have implemented the following at the Club

Deaneus! playing guernsey #25 has been retired at the club

and the MBD Rookie of the Year Award will be renamed the

Deaneus! Memorial Award (Rookie of the Season Award)


Deaneus! wasn't just a MBD player, he was a Adelaide Crows Moderator, enjoyed his time on the SRP Board and playing WW
It didn't matter which section of the board you were from or even if he was going through his treatment he still
made an effort for everybody, he was compassionate, funny and will be missed by so many across the site

Prior to Round.1 with alot of help from so many in SFA we started working on how else we could make a difference
and a big thank you goes to NaturalDisaster for the approval for this seasons charity match which will support

Cure Brain Cancer Foundation mission is to unite our community to increase brain cancer survival and quality of life, by funding vital research, advocacy and awareness for children and adults impacted by brain cancer.







Before I go into the details regarding the match I would like to thank the MBD LG, NaturalDisaster, Barrybran, TheInjuryFactory, SSwans2011, Ned_Flanders, Dingster, Wosh, Crows Board especially Drugs Are Bad Mackay?, All_In, brucetiki, Hank93 and Footypie32

WEEK 1 -3 - SQUAD SELECTION

Monday 21st Feb - Thurs 10th March

Starting from Monday 21st February Captains will make selections from their respective player pools
Each day 1 player will be selected until the squad of 20 is complete



WEEKS 4 - TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT & POSSIBLE WAGERS TO BE SET BY PLAYERS

Monday 14th March

Captains to announce team positions
Optional : Players to make avatar bets, pledges for donations etc etc



WEEK 4 - GAME DAY

Sunday 20th March

Match to be played prior to the Round.7 SFA Matches which will be prior to the Crows 1st game of the season

I've also seen the impact of cancer first and second hand so it's a cause that's especially close to my heart
