Had the battery tested?Yes and this was fine
This a good step. Our MUX had the battery go dead 3 times. The shit RAA guys said battery was fine, 3rd time and the guy tested, found a dead cell. You'd think the 2nd time on a new car would have got the RAA bloke so a test on it. Nope.Had the battery tested?
Faulty batteries do that, they test fine one day and faulty the next, once you work out the battery and alternator are working then it's a faulty wire or computor somewhere, i had one in the glovebox once. This a good step. Auto Eletritrician mate and they'll check all the wires as i said i once had a faulty wire leading to the glovebox light wich was causing the battery to go flat xxYep and this was fine.
No auto electrician in Mortlake and the ones in Terang can't take on any more jobs (which is strange to me). But we all seem to think it's the broken seat switch though. As I've said, we've unplugged this and if the battery doesn't drain in 2 weeks time, we know it was the seat switch. I've ordered the seatbelt that may have caused it to break in the first place.Auto Eletritrician mate and they'll check all the wires as i said i once had a faulty wire leading to the glovebox light wich was causing the battery to go flat xx
Yep best way to go mate and if it happens again you'll have to go 50k's to the coast to find an Auto Electrician. No auto electrician in Mortlake and the ones in Terang can't take on any more jobs (which is strange to me). Yeah I’m more worried about auto-electricians than normal electricians about the pricingReminds me of an old Jeep Grand Cherokee I had (old being 1996), you could put a brand new battery in it, but if you left it attached to the battery over night it would, without fail, completely drain the battery somehow.
Alternator and everything was fine, it had some weird parasitic draw that I never could find and never got to trying to get an auto-electrician to find, though I was always worried how much that would end up costing, given how complicated even a 1996 Cherokee's electrics are. In the end I just put an isolator switch on one of the terminals and used it to quickly disconnect the battery when I was done driving for the day. Worked fine if a bit annoying.
Hi Dragons. One of my sons married a dragon. She's so bossy, but runs a tight ship and is a great Mum.
Hi Roys
Think, the last time I called out an AE it was $130Yeah I’m more worried about auto-electricians than normal electricians about the pricing
Car battery is flat again, so it couldn’t have been the seat switch. One in Noorat, gonna charge me $60 cash, fully qualified, but only problem is, won’t be able to help me until next weekThink, the last time I called out an AE it was $130
