Just spoke to a mate who is at the Saints B&F and he said that Jason Gram is leading the votes with 6 rounds to be counted.

That discounts the leaked result thread that gave the result. Is your mate sure?

How do you explain this post (Posted at 20.30) which gives the same scores as your later post ?

Great point.
Rooey is already one of the greats at SKFC, and with so many years ahead of him, he will probably go down in the annals along with our greats and may even be recognised as our greatest.

There still is a lot of water to flow under the bridge before this happens, but the future still looks bright at St Kilda.

St Kilda have to let the media know of the results before the count, and this time some idiot from Telstra went and put the article up before they were meant to. There was also a correct leak last year.

Can you bet on the B&F and if so what is the cut off time?

Yeah he's definitely got another couple of B&F's in him...when he straightens up for goal next year (he will do alot of mental work you'd think over this off-season) he will easily be our best player for the next 8-9 years.

They probably have betting on things like that in England for the EPL, but don't think bookies would get enough turnover to justify it over here. Rooey would have been the 1.80 favourite.

Yeah, I currently live in England. You can walk into an agency and propose an outcome, on basically anything, and they will give you odds.

I was just wondering given the published leak regarding the result.

Riewoldt takes club hat-trick
By Mark Robinson
October 04, 2006

NICK Riewoldt won his third Trevor Barker award last night, at the same time receiving Barker's famed No.1 guernsey to wear in 2007.

Riewoldt, who polled 145 votes in the St Kilda best and fairest, beat running backman Jason Gram by 11 votes.

Riewoldt has won every second year since his debut in 2001.

Sam Fisher was third with 131 votes and the irrepressible Robert Harvey fourth just 10 votes further back on 121.

Midfielder Nick Dal Santo, who was expected to finish higher, and Brendon Goddard tied for fifth with 115 votes.

Last year's joint winners, captain Luke Ball and tagger Steven Baker, did not finish in the top 10. Ball, however, last night announced he had re-signed at the club for a further three years.

Saints president Rod Butterss delivered a non too subtle review of the club.

He once again praised sacked coach Grant Thomas.

But Butterss stressed the club would continue to make "tough decisions" to ensure it becomes an AFL pacesetter.

As players and staff looked on, Butterss was critical of the 2006 performances in recruiting, training and fitness.

"We will take pole position," Butterss said. "This business is about winning.

"We will not apologise for making tough decisions, they are made to take this club to a premiership."

Despite the calamity of the post-season sacking of Thomas, Butterss assured supporters, players and staff the future was bright.
