Give him whatever he wants, he is that guy. Max Hall with another blinder that will fly under the radar too, 13 score involvements from 19 touches. Get them signed up NOW!!!!

Max Hall's last quarter is a key reason why we won. I rewatched that last quarter tonight after have watched it at the game, and he looked even better in the replay.

His ball use is what most of his teammates is sadly not. Quick decisions, good decisions and then disposals to good targets to their advantage. He also is a lot quicker than he seems. That combined with his goalkicking ability makes him the type of mid that we have long lusted for.

I suspect that Hall will be playing more and more midfield time.

Hall very quickly reminded me of Sinclair in his attributes, and so far looks like he too may have a stellar career with us. But Hall looks to be a better mid that Sincs.

Hopefully in 2026 key mids in our rotation will feature Nas, Hall, Garcia and Pou. All quite different. Boxshall is showing promising signs, but it is early days yet.

That was unbelievable. So so good!
However… and I know I’m going to get howled down, but did anyone read anything into Nas’s reaction and interview post match? The interview with Dicko was awkward. He didn’t seem happy, rather, he seemed uncomfortable. Maybe I’m wrong, but I fear he’s gone. Still got to enjoy the win, don’t get me wrong. But for me it’s bitter sweet.

Yes interview was just like the one's with Harvey or Winmar or Lockett. Some players are just not comfortable with being the focus of any media.

The Mrs changed a flight from Monday back to Sunday. I worked out we’d be driving to the airport during the last quarter. Bad I thought if a close game.

So when 3/4 time came around I wasn’t that bothered. Thought I’d catch up with it all in the lounge after we’d got through checking in etc. I hadn’t checked the score.

I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes after I sat down. I watched the last two minutes live going ‘what in the hell happened here!?’ Shocked is an understatement.

Had plenty of time so I watched the last quarter replay. My goodness. Makes all the disappointments of the year almost melt away. I said almost.

Really the most extraordinary quarter of football I have seen in 60 plus years following us.

I have been a Boxshall fan since the beginning of the year. Was disappointed he was made the sub, but delighted to see some of his efforts in that last quarter. We really have a player there.

As for NAS and Hall in particular I have nothing to add. Some super performances across the board. That will be so good for our club. What a boost after all the crap we’ve taken this year from a majority of pundits. Going to be interesting to look at media this week.

I didn't think I would ever see an indigenous player as good as Nicky Winmar to wear the no.7 for us and Nas could go past him.

He won't if he leaves us though.

I don’t think I have ever seen as many oppo fans come in and congratulate us. I think it was just pure footy. If you love footy it was an amazing watch. It was footy fans rather than club supporters. Good to see.

This thread is certainly a lot more enjoyable to read after a win like this than after a loss when it's usually all doom and gloom.

A win like this is more valuable than a better draft pick and getting a better draft pick doesn't mean that you get a better player.

A lot of our better players have come from worse draft picks than our better draft picks.

The more she calls, the more I'm convinced she's a DIY hire, as does no research, gets provided no research and consistently misconstrues who did what on that field to be deemed as competent in calling.

I know it's unfair, I know how it sounds, but she needs to do better.

Hunter was Stocker, Hammer was Owens, white was yellow, had to be corrected multiple times on air.
I don't notice it too much as I tuned in and out while working but one that confused me today was after Hill's goal she said Tauru and Hastie were key in the build up. I went and replayed the play twice before I realised she must have meant Max Hall. Hastie was nowhere near it...

I was thinking about that on the way home........what a finish that was.

From memory....GT had only coached a few games.

Little did we know the golden years were nearly upon us.

I can't recall us winning a game since that day with an after the siren goal.
I think you might be right. Was an article on all teams and after the siren wins. I think hall was our last.

Love this so much. Winner was my first real player number. Would love my son’s to also be number 7 for years to come. NAS can go and play a season for Port in 14 years if he needs to.

Agreed. I saw on replaying the last quarter that with about 10 or 12 mins to go and us still quite a bit behind that Nas was on 30 disposals. I knew 2 were the last goals but I was surprised he had such little impact in the catch up phase, only 2 possessions - whereas Max Hall was everywhere in that phase. Absolutely in the thick of it and it was terrific to see.

What a game...just praying that he stays. As Hilly commented on Insta on one of the 7AFL posts - think it's the top comment lol, give him 2m!

Has anyone read channel 9’s write up of the game?
It’s disgusting, paints every moment as Melbourne disadvantage or a Saint Kilda lucky/dirty moment.
Truly horrible reporting, some people hate to see us win and I almost love it
I’m pretty used to that now. Look at the last two team ins and outs write ups on afl.com. They don’t even mention us. Two weeks ago they mention the other two Sunday games either side of ours, but not ours. And for this round they mention the demons and not us!!!

Typical of the AFL’s treatment of us. To just ignore and treat like sheet.

Insane last quarter from Nas, but I also reckon that's the best quarter of footy Hunter Clark has ever played? Maybe there's hope for him yet.
It's up there.

He goes to a next level when the game is on the line. That Dogs final and the dying moments of our game against Gold Coast on 2020. He has so much composure when it's tight.

Hall was the man who made it happen in that last quarter- his skills by hand and foot are elite, and he reads the play so well. He and Boxshall need to be in the midfield.
