Is Sal contracted for next year??? I think he came over on a 2 year contract and that means it would be up. Please say we are keeping the little fella

Yes, Thompson should be a target, as should Bell & Smith (not on that list).

I wouldn't want a bits n pieces trade for Carr. Half decent player + half decent draft pick does not = 1 good thing. It's either a very early draft pick or a very good player. Thompson would be handy, but a deal that should be done independent of Josh, if he chooses to go.

Preferably Thompson would be a deal we do -before- Josh is traded.

A bits-and-pieces trade would probably only be OK by me in this sort of circumstances where the pieces is actually a possible replacement.

I agree that a B&P trade where we end up with something dumb like a 27 year old ruckman or similar is no good.
