Salary Cap Concessions - Rama's Issues v Cousin's

I was surprised to read recently that Essendon were knocked back for Salary Cap Concessions to do with Rama's cancer Rehab, yet the AFL has provided an addition $60K to West Coast.

Thoughts anyone?

Well that is ridiculous. How can they give money to a confessed drug addict when they wont help someone combat cancer. What a joke. Shame on you AFL!

The AFL hasn't given the WCE anything other than allowing the cost to be outside of the cap... and since then WCE have announced that they will require Cousins to pay them back for the cost so any concession is irrelevant.

However - if you want to talk about concessions.... if it wasn't for the AFL letting the bombers rookie draft Rama this year then his AFL career would most likely have been over....

And had Cousins been playing in a competition that had enough balls to suspend drug offenders, his career would also be over. Rama deserves his spot more than Cousins.

When i heard that i just couldnt believe it. Utter crap by the AFL, Rama is truly an inspiration to everyone now and reli hope he gets back but back then the fact that he instilled with something no-one should ever have to go though and wasnt given any concessions is horrible. His cancer affacted teh club and supporters, let alone himself, so much and the fact the AFL wasnt willing to help was crap, and now they've gone ahead and helped West Coast after one of there players broke the laws of the game and the club.

That was my understanding iniaitally neways

But if Essendon never asked as has been stated well then there is no issue here reli, although i am sure the AFL could have helped out somehow
