Okay, the accusations are flying about this whole domain name scandal and how this apparently constitutes a salary cap breach, despite the AFL supposedly knowing of all this in advance, and approving it.

Is there anything in this? Should we be worried?

The only thing i am worried about is that we might have to take the AFL to court to prove that we are innocent. Which will be a whole lot of wasted time and money that could be better spent getting our team into another GF. Plus the added media pressure on 2 of our most important players.

The thing that annoys me is that this looks like boardroom politics, the AFL knew about this 1 1/2 years ago, its seems strange to bring it up now just when Jackson and co are lobbying about salary caps. Also Jackson might be looking at a job with the AFL when the other Jackson retires, seems like very good timing for Dimmy.....

They are worried about 2 internet domain names that were found to be legal 2 years ago, yet they let clubs like Brisbane, Sydney, Fremantle, Collingwood etc run well over the salary cap and nothing is done about it.

We are more prone to salary cap rorts than anyone else (maybe behind Carlton), but stop trying to shut the Bombers down, when other clubs are blatently doing it, and nothing is done.

I'm positive we have done nothing wrong with regards to the internet dealings. I am confident that the two are telling the truth, Jackson and McMahon. Of course if it comes out that they are shovelling more crap than elliot, then I for one will go mental.

It's the timing of the issue that really gets my goat. Why now and not last year during the offseason. Wouldn't it have made more sense to do it whenever Carlton was being investigated?

The most cynical of footy fans could almost start to believe that the AFL is systematically trying to destroy the power Victorian clubs one by one with a cold, calculated smear campaign as well as conspiracies involving umpires and tribunal officials.

Okay, so maybe the cynicism and paranoia is running a bit thick there, but circumstances are really making you wonder.

Only after McMahon begins to complain loudly about the salary cap does this begin to come out. At some point the AFL will go after Collingwood and the whole Nine thing, you watch.

Man, talk about irony when Collingwood is the one club that appears to be the most on our side.
