Sainters just signed the lad up and away from GC17 hands.
I am thinking of getting him into my side (SC), I thought I would mosey on down here to hear/read some thoughts and was surprised no one has made comment on it......

Has the kid got a bright future down the track??

I don't know what his going rate is (there's an official Saints DT / SC thread by the way) but I think you'll find we all like him

There's a few positive threads in our Media thread, and I for one think it's great that he signed up for a couple more years

Started off a little undersized (don't we all?) but always looks like he has real heart and desire about his play

Skills can be worked on in my opinion, that real desire for the ball is hard to teach though

I thought he might develop into one of our more dependable backmen, but now I think he can do much more.
His round 1 scores in both dreamteam and supercoach were excellent for his price - mainly as a result of him being released from his stopper role and alound into the forward line and midfield.
There is a risk though with both Hudgeton and Raph Clarke injured, that Gilbert could be temporarily put back into defence.
