I think Sam is just disappointed he didn't get onto a senior list in general, not Geelong's.

I would think he would be very grateful to continue his career, whether it be as a rookie or not.

Financial reasons probably come into it as well. I bet his contract in the SANFL was a lot better than the pittance rookies get paid.

Geelong have got a bargin in getting hunt on the rookie list cause he would have and should got a run in his natural possie rather than getting deadbeats to play a role that we were grooming this kid for.

I hope so. He is at the best possible club as far as learning to play fb goes.
