Very disappointing, and seeing as Neitz is sure to be back next week, that was Smith's last chance.

Good signs on Newton though.
 
Yeah 12 in the 2's is not that good an effort, considering that the worst excuse of a footballer ever in Luke molan kicked 8 yesterday for Frankston.

true, but hes consistantly had a bag for weeks now.


anyone know how many hes had for the year??
 
alrighty i can answer myself actually... hes kicked 47 from 10 matches and hes leading the VFL Reserves.

The idea of bringing a selfish unfit Sylvia in to replace our champion FF captain was a joke!

Robbo is injured, so he was never going to dominate at FF. We needed a tall presence, someone to at the very least bring ball to ground. How many times did we just bomb it into our forward line in the second half, only to see Geelong mark and clear the ball out?

Dunn, Smith, even Newton would have been better than Sylvia. Then again, if Miller didn't injury himself in the first quarter he may have been more productive at FF. Either way, Sylvia's inclusion was counter- productive.
Putting aside the fact that he is seriously struggling at this level, he also happens to be Robbo's size. Enough said.

And who is to say that Smith's inclusion would have resulted in us losing the game? Or even winning it? We don't.

Scarlett would have flogged Smith, Egan takes Miller, Harley takes Robbo - what is better about that? The move of playing Sylvia caused Geelong to throw Scarlett forward, which is a win for us as he isn't down back to dominate as he usually does against us. We still booted 14 goals, so what's wrong with that?

But then it's futile with all the 426 rubbish on here when it comes to arguing this point.

That is what 99% of demon fans thought! Wouldnt Smith be the obvious replacement from Nietz Tall forward for a tall forward to reward his good performances in the VFL!

Time after Time on saturday we went forward long only to be out marked by taller Geelong backmen, we has no tall option at all!!!!!!!!!!
