Since this dismal AFL season is over in my book, i turn to really give the Zebs a good following, and they lose, i am a curse.

Sandringham 3.5 6.7 9.8 16.15 (111)
Williamstown 2.2 4.8 14.9 17.11 (113)

GOALS:
Sandringham: Sautner 7 Poyas 2 Martyn 2 Valenti 2 Dean Summers Buckley
Williamstown: Licuria 3 Williams 3 Lockwood 2 Rose 2 Dawes Davies Iles Beaumont Holland Dick Stanley

BEST:
Sandringham: Summers Sautner Paterakis Buckley Valenti Biddlecombe
Williamstown: Iles Stanley Davies Picken Toovey Licuria

REPORTED PLAYERS:
Sandringham: Nil
Williamstown: Nil

A reversal of our close win over Willy earlier in the year. Holland and Licuria were 2 notable inclusions in the side for them though.

I think we now play either Casey or Port Melbourne in the SF

Heres the difference
Willy: Iles Stanley Davies Toovey Licuria
Sandy: Buckley

However this is very disturbing
Willy: 4.8 14.9 to let a team kick 10 in a quarter isnt great

We will win next week with the long list of inclusions.

Licuria has to be one of the worst kicks at any level, how he managed to drag 3 is beyond me

including the match winner from 30 out when Sandy were 3 or 4 points up...Licuria only played 5 or 6 matches for Williamstown during the season and scored himself an invite to the Liston Trophy

Paul Johnstone and Aaron Edward have won Liston trophies, not much of an award to be proud off. The Frosty Miller medal, now thats an award!!! (please forget the massive flaw in my argument due to the fact that Edwards won last years Frosty)

Went to the game, if we had've kicked straight we would've won easily. Of the Melbourne boys, Ferguson was probably the best, Dunn bobbed up for 2 goals, Warnock did well in the backline, Neaves solid in the ruck, Buckley did a few good things in the midfield too. Juice has had better days, missed a sitter and never really got back into it after that.

I thought that Warnock controlled the backline very well. CJ did some good things, as did Buckley but he tried to take on a few too many players at certain times.

Newton took some great pack marks and his early 1%ers were fantastic but his kicking...ew

I'm sort of glad, now the whole playing group can concentrate on pre-season

Thats a great attitude Mate = selfish!

As far as "The next super star Newton " goes he was VERY ordinary and looked as if he had never played a game of AFL same goes most of his un decilpined Melbourne mates. No wonder you finished near the bottom.

You need more than a good pre season as you dont have enough quality playerss at AFL level and with Nietz,White,Aze,Robertson and Ward at the end of their careers and most of the rest of the list not up to it you need to start recruitng a lot of better quality players than the ones on show at Port yesterday.

Piss off, the AFL is what its about so I'm with unstable punt, now we can fully concentrate for next year. As for our players on show yesterday, they are in the VFL for a reason, Dunn and Newton are the only ones I consider AFL level. Buckley, CJ, Warnock, Ferguson and Bode only got games due to injury this year and will be much better of for it.

Newton had stacks of 1%ers and took some strong pack marks. His kicking was off but hey, so was Franklins and look what a week does there.

Buckley actually looks very suited to AFL level imo. Bode doesn't look out of place either. Warnock, CJ and Fergeson look a bit lost at times.

They look suited but they are not ready yet, the point to that other guy is don't judge the strength of our list on our older players and those who are not ready or not capable of playing quality AFL.
