Sash on the back

I was ever happy when i heard the sash on the back was to return, but
now after two games i'm not so sure - does anyone else think the numbers
are hard to read.
Everyone in my group are finding it hard and think the black boarder around the number is the reason that makes it hard.
What do you think.

The numbers are impossible to read. Black border isnt helping.
