According to the official AFL web site we are playing the West Coast on saturday AFTERNOON (@ 2.30pm). Just thought I'd get this up as there has been a lot of talk (especially here in Vic:) that it would be night!

That's a point. I thought the SANFL would've preferred Saturday night. (Friday night was out of the question as it would mean a 5 day break.)

I guess channel ten must've pushed hard for Collingwood-Brisbane in prime time.

Can't see that happening.

SANFL won't go up against Crows finals.

The SANFL finals are usually made to fit around the local AFL teams, they'd probably do the same for the final minor round game.

Well no.

According to the paper we may infact play Saturday.

Centrals and South are going to play Saturday regardless as are Port and Glenelg, Norwood and North are looking to change it to Friday night.

Sturt want a seven day break before the finals which means they can play Sunday but apparently they don't wanna :(

I was listening to the radio yesterday after the game had finished (forget which station it was) and the people on there were saying that the sanfl are thinking of playing a couple of the games this weekend as curtain raisers for the two afl finals here.

Interesting idea. But that would suck for the SANFL club supporters who couldn't get a ticket to the Crows match, or would have to pay an exorbitant amount for the Power match.

Yeah that's what I thought. It would be good to have a SANFL curtain raiser, but I think it'd be too difficult.
The supporters who have SANFL season tickets could get in using that, but the others that don't will find it too hard to get a ticket, it's going to be hard enough to get a ticket for the Crows game as it is.. If they made the Port Adelaide and Glenelg (?) match the curtain raiser on Sunday that surely would be a much better idea than having one for a Crows match I think.
