don't like the new changes, well mostly because they have been introduced so close to the season :thumbsd:.
as for kicks backwards as one has already stated a centering kick that goes backwards in the forward line only being worth 1 point?
what about a 55meter kick switching the play that goes marginally backwards? surely common sense comes into play.

It will. And they will be marked as 'Effective Kicks' 4 points, as I said earlier.

I'm told that from last night's match, the players that lost 10-15 points due to the new formula are Newman (would have been ranked #1), Riewoldt and Laidler. The only player who gained 10-15 points was Murphy, and everyone else was within 10.

It's hard to do a comparison with last year's numbers because of definition changes, but the guy I talked to says that Walesy's analysis is very good and no-one is going to average more than 10 points different from what they would have last year. Ruckmen like Brogan, Goodes, Jolly, Sandi and Cox might average 4-6 points more. Milne and Sylvia get the same sort of benefit because clangers were downgraded. The biggest losers are hard nuts like Joel Selwood, Andrew Swallow, Jude Bolton and Priddis who might drop 4-6 points.
