SC scoring question

This is mainly for my own curiosity but it also comes into play a bit with team selection. With a notoriously unreliable (read: crap) goalkicker like Franklin or Tarrant, how are their goal attempts scored? For example if someone misses a goal from 10m out right in front, is that a clanger, ineffective kick, or effective kick? Because the system is ******ed I'm going to guess it counts as an effective kick even if they score a behind - a clanger if it's out of bounds on the full. A key forward could easily have 8-10 goal attempts in a match so this would have a big impact on scoring.

Pretty sure getting a score is effective, no matter where the player's kicking from.

Out of bounds ineffective and out on the full is a clanger.

Nope not automatically considered effective - set shots within 30 metres and not on an acute angle (the scoring system in split into zones) that miss are considered ineffective.
