is it a worry that the other candidate that went down to the wire with our gig 2 years ago in ken hinkley hasnt even been mentioned on any of the 4 or 5 shortlists...I dunno, just putting it out there

Ken Hinkley moved to Gold Coast as an assistant (was highly sought after too by Gold Coast). He'd be living it up Gold Coast style and on a big pay packet.

Not really relevant. The only thing he has added to his resume since we (and about 4 other sides)looked at him has been coaching 17/18 year olds. As mentioned the AFL funded side would be paying him a fortune. He's probably on more than Hardwick seeing as the AFL have pockets full of gold and we have 40 bucks to our name!

its actually quite fascinating what the various clubs rate in terms of the type of person they want as head coach..from brendan mcCartney to brenton sanderson to mark neeld, talk about plucked from obscurity, seems to me that every club is looking to find the next al clarkson, some will fly, some will fail....interesting

Those 3 Melbourne clubs are the least attractive from a supporter or resourced base. I wouldnt be putting my hand up for any of them TBH. It would concern me as a supporter though I cant help but wonder if money played a big part in their appointments.
