Had some idiots behind me bag him when he had a bad kick that resulted in a turn over and he slipped over in Brisbanes forward. I felt like telling them to shut the **** up, he's still a kid and will be a match winner for us one day... and bugger me he kicked a goal to get us back in it

One thing about young Byron is with every game he plays is the confidence growing & as that has happened the depth in his kicking has improved out of site. !!

The most impressive thing about him on Saturday was that he was able to turn the game for Freo immediately after handing Akermanis what looked to be the match-winning goal for the Lions. He's just turned 18, he stumbles and spills the ball, one of the league's best players gathers and kicks an excellent goal to give the dual reigning premiers a seemingly unassailable lead. My heart sunk but Tequila's didn't. For someone of such tender years to haul himself back up from the canvas, put his head down and rove that ball under pressure, step around the hardly non-agile Luke Power and slot the major on the run is testament not only to the skill but the heart on the kid.

He is a great little player. I saw an interview of him on the channel ten news. He is a great player and I think that he will win the rising star award.
