schulz kick 9 in the vfl was clearly to good at vfl level if he doesn't get a call up somthing is really wrong.

he has work really hard these last few weeks an it's starting to pay. his work rate seemed to let him down earlier in the year but seem to have fixed that with a 23 disposals game an 12 marks, 9 goals game.

should get a recall i would guess

would be really stunned if he didn't - especially to target essendons short defence, with fletcher looking unlikely.

hopefully has another couple of blinders and becomes the tastiest bit of bait we have on the list. Will always struggle with work rate and consistency. By time Richo is done either or jack and cleve will fit in nicely, dont forget we have unearthed a superstar forward in recent weeks in Deledio. I think if we're offered something decent we should seriously consider it.

might even kill them elsewhere but something tells me he'll never kill em at the tiges. This should of been his year, no excuses really. He was ready to go after that praccy match against the dees where he got us all excited, but then never kicked on. I see him and Raines as our best bits of trade bait in that clubs would be keen for a sniff and the loss wouldn't be all that detrimental to our structure.

sage words Roost ... he has had his time with us ... and though we are no judges .... clearly gawwwwnnn

Don`t know about Raines ... bad call ... has had only the one "middle `o` the road" type year ... would not be hanging him yet

i had to bounce back with some profound wisdom after my ray hall moment yesterday...

probably a little harshe on raines but just think he is a rated alot higher then what he should be, and therefore would attract valuable interest. I rank his disposal and decision making right up there with the worst of em, nothing makes me angrier then seeing a less then 80kg kid genuinely believe he is jonah lomu far too often. Hope he bounces back next year.

Might even be a chance to shout you a beer at the royal sunday IDGAF, if OXX and RECORDS can be mates there might be hope for us yet.

He is less then 80kg? That truly astounds me. I thought he'd at least be in the 83-85kg mark. I'm 79kg and he'd be a lot more solid then I would.

Anyhow I wouldn't trade him just yet despite his poor disposal and what not. He has been given some very tough assignments this year and deserves another year on the back of last year.

Never not been "MATES" ... look out for the "celtic" Top bro and i will buy you one :thumbsu:

You would think Cleve Hughes is a gun the way he is forecast as a success by desperate Tigers fans.

Lots to prove yet!!

i reckon hes shown a bit with limited opportunity...he certainly wouldnt let lance whitnall run off him and kick two goals from full back like our mate schulzy one did. Still very young aswell.

A bit is all he's shown.

I don't understand the hype at all.

He comes off the park cleaner than my suits in a plastic bag.

Just don't see the hunger and desire personally.

The next great FF after 9 goals against Tasmania??? Give me a break. Have you seen Tasmania play? They are the only side with a worse record then the Tigers! (2 wins only this year, and many thumpings, percentage only 60) They would struggle to win against the Coburg seconds. With JON, Krakouer, Hyde, Neville, White all pumping it forwards under little pressure my 60 year old aunt would get 3 or 4...

Having said that, Schulz has picked up his work rate on his few appearances for the Tigers and he is basically competing with Hughes, Reiwoldt and Richo for 2 spots in the team. He doesn't get into the correct spaces often enough and when he does get it he doesn't make the most of his chances. He does give us depth which, in case you haven't noticed, we don't have much of (see our current ruck situation). Another 18 year old stick figure like Reiwoldt won't help for 3-5 years, so why get rid of him now? Schulz at least has some muscle on him. He may only be able to play 1 position (FF) but if Wallace can work it out I believe he can still be an effective AFL forward for us. If, God forbid, JR or Richo go down with injuries, we may be glad to have him.

There is NO quick fix for the Tiger playing list. If you believe there is, you must think getting Kent Kingsley was a masterstroke. Getting rid of Schulz only perpetuates the cycle.

wasn't schulz stitched up for two more years this year? makes him untradeable iirc.
Any contracted player can be traded. They just have to agree to it.
Having a contract just means you won't go into the PSD for free.

Bulldogs willl be looking for a tall marking forward option.

They won't be able to trade for Fev, so might look to McGreggor or Shulz.

I think the guy can play, but you've seen much more of him than me.

Good luck vs Bombers.:thumbsu:
