Anyone used the website scoopon before? It has all kind of crazy deals and I'm looking at the one on it now about cheap flights to Thailand. $600 return from Melbourne to Phuket. My mates and I are just about to book $1000 return flights today and then we saw this.

Anyone heard of Strategic Airlines either?

Use it mainly for cheap hand inside/outside car wash joints, and so far they've been fantastic.

Be wary of the ultra-cheap services offered though. Nearly all are 'labour only', and by the time parts are put in, the savings end up being minimal, if any.

Don't hang around the whole time in Port Douglas. Apart from the reef tour it's an only okay place.

Get down to Palm Cove about sixty kms away. Amazing spot. Make sure you get fish and chips on the esplanade. Shop is blue. That's all you need to know, you'll find it. Unreal fish and chips. Fish is a bit pricey but its caught by a local fisherman every day so that's probably why.

And if you go up the Daintree towards Cape Tribulation, stop in at Mason's Cafe. Best steak sandwich I've ever had and there's an awesome watering hole to swim in as well.
