When you put your sweat and blood into winning game 2 to take it to a decider and then lose by 50, it's hard to see why you'd want to be a coach.

He'll get another job.

I saw Scott in a cigar club after the WC game tonight. I see him alot around Subi but he looked different tonight. Kinda tired and relaxed at the same time. Sad to see him go, he is always a top guy when I spoke to him at work. Very funny.

People outside of Perth probably dont realise just how big of a impact he has had on basketball and the Wildcats in general and I dont think he realises how important he has been either. IMO hes the sole reason the Wildcats are so successful in this state.

His infectious passion for the game and the team really flows through to the crowd. He makes being at the game that much more exciting. Watching him on the bench carrying on like he always does gets the crowd going. Ive had a ton of fun in recent times going to Wildcats game and alot of that has to do with the Fish whose probably the nicest funniest and most geniune blokes we have ever had in sport in this state. I hope he comes back one day. Legend :thumbsu:

Ricky Grace, Andrew Vlahov?

I dunno if its just me, but doesn't any1 else find this to be bad 4 us here in Australia?.

I mean, Fisher played out here since the late 1980s, became an Australia Citizen, played as an Aussie, played various games and represented Australia at the Olympics, retired here, coached a few seasons here, THEN GOES BACK 2 THE USA?.

That's plain rude, he was no Aussie if his intention was always to "go home". I thought this was his home now?.

He just used us/Australia, to go to the Olympics, and was full on bullshitting on Australia day when he took the oath.

Bit harsh mate, he's given the Wildcats (and his adopted country) great service and is returning to the US for private family reasons, who know what they may be but I doubt it's a decision Fish considered lightly. Fair enough I reckon.

Really sad to him go and definitely a shock to all Wildcat fans. He's a Wildcat through and through and will certainly be missed. He obviously has his reasons for heading back to the US. I dont think it's the last we will see of Scott Fisher in Perth though, id certainly hope not.

Good luck to him. Fantastic servant to the Perth Wildcats and Australian basketball.
