Scott Lucas' Elbow

Almost as weird as that thing he did with his hands when he was at the top of the 50 and within range of goals, the commentators referred to it as a "handball" WTF?

Apparently they've been draining it each week. Anyone know how long it takes for this kind of thing to heal?

SCOTT Lucas needed extra elbow room on the flight home from Adelaide on Sunday night.
The Essendon forward played out the clash against Port Adelaide burdened by a large lump on his right elbow.
But Lucas will be fit to confront Fremantle on Sunday, with the Bombers last night explaining the injury as a case of elbow bursitis.
"It didn't even rate a mention our medical list, but we've had a lot of people ask about it," Essendon football manager Paul Hamilton said. "It doesn't look good, does it? But it doesn't cause any functional problems. It's basically a build-up of extra fluid."
Lucas, who has had to manage the problem for some time, needed the joint drained on his return to Melbourne.
"He got a knock on it, which caused extra fluid," Hamilton said.
"It's not a new thing. It's one of those things that can really hang around for some time."
Elbow bursitis causes fluid to collect in a sac behind the elbow.
A bursa is a slippery, sac-like tissue that normally allows smooth movement around bony areas, such as the point behind the elbow.
When a bursa becomes inflamed, the sac fills with fluid and can cause pain and a noticeable swelling behind the elbow. The problem is often brought on by a traumatic blow.

i had it a couple of years ago while playing cricket, got hit a couple of times attempting a pull shot. it took about 6 to 8 weeks to finally get rid of,
it was more annonying than sore. he should have no problems playing with it
