Just heard on SEN that Scott Thompson is wanting to come home. Max Stevens his manager is talking to Kevin Bartlett. The crows have already made enquiries into getting scott to Adelaide. Looks like a ready made replacement in the mid field for Tyson. :)

As a youngster Scott Thompson was an avid Port Adelaide fan and dreamed of playing for the Power.

Thompson played with Port in the SANFL before being drafted by the Demons, but has no regrets about coming across the border.

I’ve settled in well now,” Thompson told afl.com.au. “I’m a lot more comfortable around everyone. The club has been great from when I first moved over.

“I barracked for Port Power and I would have loved to have gone there, but you’ve got no choice. I hated the Crows and I wanted to thump them (in last year’s semi-final). Sitting in the stands watching was frustrating and I wanted to be out there.”

There are plenty of South Australians around the club to help make Thompson feel home. This year the SA contingent has grown by three with draftees, Daniel Bell (Glenelg), Nick Smith (Norwood) and Jared Rivers (North Adelaide).

“I’ve been looking after Nick and Jared as I live around the corner from them and get them to training occasionally,” Thompson said.

Sounds like he would have the same attitude Scott Hodges had when he played for the crows.

That may be true,
but when you are born a Port supporter
you die a port supporter.

The Cornes boys stopped barracking for the Crows when their Father was sacked and the fact that they never showed any interest in Chad when he was in the draft didnt do port any harm.

Is that right. You of course have heard this first hand and you're not just speaking out your @rse. if he was such a staunch and devoted Port man, wouldn't he have dumped Max Stevens as his manager and got someone who would be more likely to get him returned to Alberton? After all Max is the enemy and we wouldn't want to do a deal with him, as I remember many of your Port boys saying on the boards after the Stevens fiasco.

As for the Cornes boys, it's like any relationship. A change of coach, a personality clash, an argument about money and it can all unravel really quickly. I think you're kidding yourself if you think that Port has any advantage over any other club in that regard.

And what is right for Scott Thompson?
Going to a club that you love, with a good list and certain to play finals for the next five years, or going to a team that you despise with an ageing list and a bunch of youngsters that nobody outside their own team rates.

I certainly hope Scott Thompson does what is right for Scott Thompson.

by way tyson how can u go for the PAFC and the cows

How about you take your small, and inconsequential dribble back to your own board. There again, with a name like that it is not suprising that you are into pretty grips and whinges.

And you may like to call us the cows... yet you are the one full of bull.... go figure

Enjoy your arrogance while you can. Certain finalists for the next five years? getting ahead of yourself don't you think. A lot can happen in a short amount of time ie: injuries, salary cap pressures, homesick players, coaching staff etc. etc.

I'm pleased you're trying to stick the boot in now, as this will come back to haunt you. Particularly given your still abysmal performance in finals. Even if you get over St Kilda (highly inexperienced finals side), you've still got to get over Brisbane.

Time will prove you most incorrect on that.

So because you dont rate then nobody does? WTF? Old team, but a bunch of youngsters , pls pls pls , return to the Port board where unbased and pure tripe are the basis for most threads.... Begone now.

Looks like there has been a breakout at the zoo. Quick put these guys back in their cages.

Gee you are a touchy lot.

I simply make a comment that your better players are coming close to the end of their careers and that none of your younger players look like being anything other than average afl players and you all get upset.

Its ok though. K.G will be on in a few hours and he will remind you brilliant you all are and how bock will be a 10 year player, Jericho is modra-like, Hentschel has just got something special, reilly is the new chris Johnson.

wake up!
