Would it be scarcely strange to talk to Scott West? He was rushed back into football (for Williamstown) far too soon before his knee had properly healed. I can't see how it's not a talking point, considering we need to add experience with the loss of Burns. I think we could get more than enough service out of him, and who knows he might still achieve his dream to play in a premiership side for a year or two.

I actually agree with you Coin Toss, Scott West if fit is a gun as good as Harvey or Burns and IMO his output again if fit would be of benifit to the team for sure.
Would it kill us to take a punt on such a good player even if off the bench to really help the side to a GF inthe next 2 years?

id b happy to take a punt with him, with a late draft pick but unfortunately i dont think its really gonna happen

dont think it would happen but id take him in a heart beat. especially with burnsy gone. sometimes kids look to the older blokes out there to steady the ship and give them a bit of confidence. westy would be great.

I'd consider it if we weren't going after Cousins. It's a dangerous move dealing in multiple 30+ year-olds, we'd end up like Essendon in Sheedy's latter years.

Scotty West has been a great servant for the Doggies and at 34yo should bow out graciously as a one club champion.

Dougie Hawkins continued his career for one year at Fitzroy and apparently regrets not being able to say he was a one club player.

So hopefully Westy realises this and does not even put himself out there for another club.
