No need to say how amazing his comeback from a knee reco has been. More important to ask, what position will he play in our best 22?
Seems to have been a backman on shorts rather than talls, a stopper in the midfield and a 3rd "tall" in the last few weeks.
Versatile or confused?

Dempster is what in the old days you'd call a utility.

Very important player cause he can play SO many options, forward/back/center/short tall,

So the answer is....depending on the opposition.

He will tag the opposition's quickest player if they are over 185cm (otherwise Baker/CJ) and damaging by foot - and play in the F50, midfield or defence depending on where that player is.

Followed Lovett everywhere - even when he went to half back (Dempster managed a shot on goal after a nice mark).

A few players went to take him on until they realised he was as quick or quicker than them. Whilst didn't get to lay a tackle, there were many 1%'ers not in the stats.

Wouldn't call him a forward yet, while yes he presents well his set shot looks like a dogs breakfast in terms of how likely he looks to goal from it, can;t be considered a forward if you can't kick at goal properly. Could be classified as Ferguson though. (oh harsh Fly, harsh!)

Although I would label him as an "almost" utility in that can he can play down back, which is probably preferred, in the centre, small and medium and once he works out his kicking for goal could also then play forward, as it stands I'd rate BJ's goal kicking much much better than Seany D's at this moment. :p

Taking contested marks in the forward line which he has done, and pinch hitting goals which he has done counts for a lot. He's never going to be Tony Lockett.

He's a utility.

Clarification obviously required.

He isn't a forward, but Lovett was trying to shake the tag by going into defence and running off someone else.

We were having none of it.

He's a handy player, and for that reason won't get dropped.

He'll be a very good player for us next year. Remember he did his ACL less than a year ago and has only had like 6 games back? Shows how much RL rates him to bring him back pretty much as soon as he was ready.
