Second Quarter Scuffle

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here, great forum!

Was anyone here at the game and got a good look at the scuffle in the second quarter after Embley goaled? Couldn't see much on TV (and they went to an ad), but it looked like it started between Embley and Stevens and later on Judd, Kerr and Fletcher seemed to get involved? No doubt Archer probably got in on the action.

Anyway if anyone knows anything more then please post! Cheers.

welcome to BF mate - I too watched the game on tele, but I'm pretty sure that it was just guys letting off steam, and unless there were punches thrown (which it appears there wasn't) we won't hear much about it during the week.

But it was good to see some emotion from Chris Judd in there.

Stevens is a mug... and King ain't much better.

I was glad to see Green stand up to King and give him some of his own, not like how Tim Fleming just took it from him when King was dishing it out to him.

From what I've heard, Stevens tried to give Embley a bit of a push and shove but came off 2nd best. So Archer, being Stevens butt-buddy and all, came in to help out Stevens, after which several other WC players and subsequently Roos players got involved.

Archers been trying to prove his manhood ever since the Carey-Kelly Stevens incident last year.

i'm not sure what set it off. stevens had some issues with embley once he scored that goal. it was great to see everybody getting into it. especially kerr who had his own private blue going on.

Just because his wife is a **** doesn't mean he has to take it out on Embers.

Great to see Judd and Kerr get in on the action. Kerr is a tough customer and certainly wont back down but Judd getting in their shows that he has a real passion for our footy club, more good signs.

I thought Judd going in there showed good signs. If he was a guy deadset on leaving, I don't think he would have bothered.

Couldn't agree more- shows he is becoming more comfotable atthis level and isn't going to be intimidated by dip ****s like King!!

I get the impression green is a bit of a hard nut and loves this type of stuff

Then a bit later on, in the third quarter, The Roos had a free on their HFF reversed. I think it was Green giving Archer a bit of a touch-up, then Archer couldn't take it and gave Green a fist to the head behind play. Umpire saw the retaliation. On ya Greeny. He should go for it too.

Nothing too much in the contest from what I could see. Archer was paid a free kick against him early on and seemed to lose his cool for a lapse of frustration a few times after that.
