Post from your own team a "Mr. Reliable" and a "Value Pick" from each position and maybe a couple of dark horses and why.
I'll start...

Backs-
Mr. Reliable - Shannon Hurn
Sam Butler and Beau waters will most likely average higher than him by the end, but they are both injury prone, Hurn will play every game* and play them well

*may or may not play every game

Value Pick - Beau Waters
Priced at $338,200 and can average 90+ if fit.

Mids-
Mr. Reliable - Matt Priddis
Will always be in a pack, either with the ball or tackling the guy with the ball

Value Pick - Koby Stevens
Had a breakthrough pre-season after 2 years carrying injury, will get plenty of chances in West Coast's midfield. At $104,200 is priced lower than a lot of rookies.

Rucks-
Mr. Reliable - Dean Cox
No Brainer

Value Pick - Nobody
Look elsewhere for cheap ruckmen, but if you had to choose, I would say NicNat to improve more.

Forwards-
Mr. Reliable - Mark LeCras
Will get a lot of the ball and will kick lots of goals. Will also have runs through the midfield

Value Pick - Jack Darling
Not cheap by any means, but he will improve a lot in his 2nd year and average higher than his $333,100 is worth

Backs
Mr. Reliable - Greg Broughton ($416,200)
And even then, he's not entirely reliable. I'm hesitant to pick any Freo defenders until seeing what Ross the Boss has in store for the defenders gameplan wise. But Broughton is the safest bet for DT out of all Freo defenders. Having said that...

Value Pick - Nic Suban ($272,100)
Subes is one to monitor over the NAB Cup. It's likely going to be either him or Duffield who brings the ball out of the Defensive 50 and at his low price, could prove to be a bargain.

Mids
Mr. Reliable - Michael Barlow ($424,800)
The man needs no introduction. He looks to be fully recovered from this injury and is ready for a big year!
Now that he's suffered a setback and likely won't be available during the NAB, it's time to unleash Nat Fyfe ($486,600). DPP and reading the game almost comes second nature to him.

Value Pick - Anthony Morabito ($168,000)
Mora is back on the track after a knee reco and all Freo fans are hoping he can show some of that flash and impact goals we saw in his first season. He's not going to be a keeper, but he's priced as a high draft pick. Which he essentially is. But has had a proper pre-season and big game experience under his belt now.
Now the value pick is definitely Lachie "Cowboy" Neale ($98,700)! The kid looks to be a coaches favourite and a mini-Ballantyne as an inside mid. The fact that Ross has been pumping him up all pre-season is a great sign too.

Rucks
Mr. Reliable - Aaron Sandilands ($469,900)
Says he's 100% fit and over his injury problems. Having a monopoly on Hit Outs ensure his score rarely drops below 80. However, Lyon has indicated his willingness to "manage" Sandilands with Griffin in the wings too, so be prepared for him to be out for a couple of games with "general soreness" during the year.

Value Pick - N/A
Fun fact: All 3 ruckman are in the Top 9 most expensive players at Freo.
As for real life football though, look out for a big improvement in Zac Clarke in the forward line!

Forwards
Mr. Reliable - Matthew Pavlich ($466,200)
Ross has already signalled his intentions to use Pav predominantly in the forward line; something nearly all Freo supporters had been crying out for. You might think that a move from the Midfield into the Forwardline spells a DT slide, but not in Pav's case. The man had some of his best seasons in DT at CHF and I think he may outscore the more expensive Fyfe.

Value Pick - Lee Spurr ($107,800)
He's on the rookie list, but if he gets promoted then he's poised to make an immediate impact after tearing it up the SANFL the last couple of years. However, he's probably fighting for an elevation spot with Sam Menegola right now (who is absolutely smashing it on the track).
Also keep an eye on Josh Mellington ($148,400) in the NAB Cup.

Backs:
Mr. Reliable: Brett Deledio ($452,100) averaged 91.4 last year, he is a lock in pretty much every DT.

Value Pick: Brandon Ellis ($116,700) was picked up in the first round of the 2011 draft. He has a ready-made AFL body and will accumulate many possessions off of the half-back.

Midfielders:
Mr. Reliable: Trent Cotchin ($463,400) averaged 93.7 last year and is expected to take another step-up.
Fun Fact: He got the most amount of Brownlow votes for anyone under 23 years old.

Value Pick: Haven't really got one. If Conca was rightfully a midfielder then he would go here.

Ruckmen:
Mr. Reliable: None.

Value Pick: Ivan Maric ($262,700) will be our number one ruckman this year and he has been training well. If you want to demote one of your ruckman to bolster another area of your team, then Maric is a good choice.

Forwards:
Mr. Reliable: Dustin Martin ($442,500) should definitely be a lock in EVERY team. He averaged 89.5 last year and was only in his second year. Many are predicting for him to be the highest scoring forward in the competition by the end of 2012.

Value Pick: Not much, Ben Griffiths could get some game time but he would be no more than a bench player. Even so, there are better options.

BUMP

i think with all the intraclub games and the nab cup starting, people will have a better idea of their players progression

With Richmond done I'll pick a random club that hasn't been done. Swinging the wheel and Sydney it is!

Backs:

Mr. Reliable - Sydney don't really have any backs who are high scoring and reliable. Nick Malceski has been such in the past but he's been in the injury woes recently.

Cheap - Jordan Lockyer? Sydney generally don't blood their kids too quickly.

Midfield:

Mr. Reliable - Adam Goodes could fall into this category, but he looks more like a forward pick. Jude Bolton is mr. reliable but there are better buys at his price. An option is to pick an up and comer. Kieran Jack, Daniel Hannebery and Josh P. Kennedy all offer solid picks. They'll most likely play 22 games, score consistently and rarely let your side down. Will they bump much? Possibly not as much as others though.

Cheap - Tom Mitchell step on down. A mid pricer is Luke Parker who played 11 games last year and looked decent.

Rucks

Mr. Reliable: - Ahh geez, this is a tough one. Out of Shane Mumford, recently injured Mark Seaby and Myke Pike (who sounds like a Monty Python character) Sydney are blessed with premium ruck options. Well no, they're not. It's Shane or bust.

Cheap - Sydney don't have a rookie ruckman. So... yeah.

Forward

Mr. Reliable - As discussed, Adam Goodes. He's consistent, most likely to play 22 games and is a quality player. Ben McGlynn is worth considering, although one Sydney forward is probably enough. There's Ryan O'Keefe, but he seems past his dreamteam prime. I'd be looking elsewhere for mid 400k forward/midfielders (like, oh, I dunno, all of the other ones).

Cheap - Jed Lamb by some distance. The only other rookie forward for Sydney is Tommy Walsh. The rookie who sounds like an Irish gangster seems to be a "wait for pre-season form" type player.

Ruckmen:
Mr. Reliable: None.

Value Pick: Ivan Maric ($262,700) will be our number one ruckman this year and he has been training well. If you want to demote one of your ruckman to bolster another area of your team, then Maric is a good choice.

I'd say Maric is more a mr. reliable pick than a value pick. He's likely to play 22 games, priced to average around 52 yet will probably average around 62. As danog said, Derickxzy is a better value pick than Maric.

Unfortunately for us it's time to update your Mr Reliable in the Forwards.

I don't think we have another Mr Reliable in the forwards. Kennedy will be reliable as a player probably getting a few goals a game but if thats all he does his DT scores won't be so reliable.

Defence
Mr. Reliable: None. Would've been Hartlett if he was available as a back as he should have been, but even that would require 'reliability' not taking injuries into account.

Value pick: Maybe Jacobs? Not a definite for the best 22, but was an absolute ball magnet at junior level and SANFL level, and although he was inconsistent he had a few games at AFL level last year where he looked like a ball magnet.

Midfield
Mr. Reliable: Boak, I guess. Not a premium, but scores around the 90's, won't get any worse and might get better.

Value pick: Brad Ebert. So many things point to Brad having a breakout year this year. His first year at a club with which his name is synonymous, previous good scoring history when played in position at the Eagles, not damaging enough to ever warrant a tag, is at the age where players usually start hitting their peak, and is tearing up the track. If I was going to pick a midprice midfielder, it would definitely be Brad. John McCarthy and Chad Wingard are others who might be worth a look, but there are probably better options.

Rucks:
Mr. Reliable: None.

Value pick: Jarrad Redden, who should get a few games early on with Lobbe and Renouf's injury worries. If something happens to Giles or Stephenson, or you're looking at a 3 rookie ruck structure, Jarrad is worth a look.

Forwards:
Mr. Reliable: Robbie Gray. Finally approached becoming the player Port fans have been waiting for him to become halfway through last year with a move to the midfield, and averaged 90+ playing as a midfielder/half forward from there on out. If this role change is permanent, expect him to average around the same this year, if not more as natural improvement and expected improvement of the team as a whole (they couldn't possibly be as bad as they were last year again, right?) play a role.

Value pick: Not a lot of good candidates here. Maybe Simon Phillips, who's reportedly had a big pre-season and has a lot of potential if he can get over his case of the fumbles that afflicted him last season, or John Butcher if he can work on getting the ball around the ground more rather than just kicking goals.

absolutely gutted, actually had him in my team but I guess ill have to pick somebody else.

i reckon gary rohan is a very good value pick, sure he is about $220k but with sydney trying this new method of fast moving football, quick half forwards like rohan are going to get lots more opportunities. i expect him to average between 70-80, and he certainly has the x-factor to put together some big scores
