Long term I think he will end up in the midfield. I thought he played a lot better last week than this week.

Thought he was very ordinary tonight. Made a fair few bad decisions, was indecisive or didn't have enough time when he got the ball, and didn't get enough of the ball.

Must take it into perspective though: On one hand as a midfielder, by default you need to get a lot of the ball and are judged compared to other midfielders (particularly your opponents and direct opponent) rather than flankers and the like. Midfielders must get a decent amount of ball and use it effectively to get a pass mark. On the other hand he is still young and we shouldn't expect too much.

I thought he played quite well, he was thrown in the deep end by John Worsfold but i thought he handled himself really well.

yeah i agree.

He looked a bit wobbly/stunned throughout the game but its no big deal, he'll acquire some poise with more experience

I think you a being a bit tough on him, he will be a good player has only played a couple of games. Last night the pressure was on and everyones disposal suffered.

17 possesions and some did hurt carlton but others didnt. dont forget he is still very inexperienced and it was a big stage. he will be much better for the game.
