OTHER TEAMS???? As if!!
I would like an answer here from hopefully someone who has some inside information.

Is the problem here conflict between senior players and CC; It really is becoming apparent to me that the senior players are almost deliberatly playing way below their par and dragging the team down with them in order to force some action that many of us are not privvy to??

What are they trying to say here???????

Yeah, I'm assuming you are talking about those pricks Haselby and Cook (who were our worse today) playing a blinder last week just so they could secure a spot then putting a terrible performance because they know it will definitely mean the appointment of a new coach by round 7.

All these years they tricked us into thinking they were guys who always gave it their best shot, just so they could stick the knife in to Connolly today. It couldn't be that they just had a terrible game, there is definitely some sinister motive in it which us poor blind fools never expected.

Lucky for us you've nailed it.

You are kidding. To think they would throw a game is ludicrous.I know it looked bad but come on. There is no rift between coach and players.

Try to be constructive here Roundy, your pointless sarcasm is counter productive at the moment....

There is a problem with the way the guys are thinking at the moment and thats the problem I am trying to work out as well as many other freo supporters.

The problem lies here with the mentality of the team and the responsibilities fall with senior players and Connolly.

Do I like CC as a coach...NO I don't and never have. He cannot take the players to the next level and never will as far as I am concerned.

There is too much talent but unfortunately even more obvious discention amongst the ranks; surely you must be able to see this???

I have inside info .

Freo's players thought the $1.90 offered for Brissy by TAB is better than bank interest ;)

Yep. I do see it.

Cookie and Hase were crap and I am inferring, just like you, that it is because they have no pride in their performance and their primary concern is getting rid of Connolly.

We need to sack CC so Hase and Cookie can stop having to worry about throwing games and we should let them pick the next coach so we don't have this problem again.

I'm in total agreement with you!

Okay I am going to allow you you views here roundy:confused:
Your comments do lace uncomfortably with sarcasm but I I will give you the benefit of the doubt for now so please expliain....

Where does the problem lie because we DO have problems and it isn't with talent; there are issues with the hierarchy and their influence and I believe it's somethin we need to addess.

Docker Dave is that you??? :p

Go easy on splitlizard guys, he is angry and wants answers, as do I.

Why are we playing lazy, effortless football? Some of the guys have been consistant but what about the rest of the side? Why do they have this attitude? Why don't we move the ball the way we did last year? Why have our skills taken an absolute dive? Why don't the players want to play to their full potential? Something is wrong and I don't know what. Has anyone got any ideas to why we are playing like this?

As I have said on another post, who in the Dockers team would bleed Purple blood.

You see team like Collingwood who don't have the most talented roster but are completely passionate about playing for the Pies.

Carlton is starting to play like that, the Eagles and the Swans are the best at it. I just don't see it from the Dockers.

well as i said on another thread maybe it's my rose tinted glasses
but this result for me was not unexpected - they put in a hard grinding game against the crows - then the crappiest afl flight /fixture & got absolutley sapped in the humidity( i've been to brissy you get bathed in sweat just walking never mind running around in the middle of the day)

fully expect them to bounce back against hawks

Ssshh, you will silence the fools who think the senior players are conspiring to play shit footy, and in doing so will get CC the axe.

After all it's round 7 and we are doooooomed already

yeah it really shits me too, players like johnson & black & peake are really important for our side it takes time to slide back in & click into gear. at round 1 ( before jeffery's brain fade) i thought we woud struggle for the first part of the seaon + tarrant finding his feet etc i fully expect us to be a smooth oiled machine through mid season ( subject to the MRP & Tribunal )

Your not alone in that thinking.A Brissie player said in the worst aust that they thought Freo looked tired at half time.

yeah i was in brissy last year & the humidity was shocking , people who've never been don't realise how exhausting it is
i also came home on the flight with the lions coming over here & was really shocked that they were all cramped with their legs squashed in cattle class for 5 1/2 hours - so obviously our boys would have suffered the same

the other thing i noticed at the weekend were the custom made ice vests in lions colours that their players had - did we have any? i didn't see any

Yeh i lived in Brissy from April 06 to Feb 07. This time of year over there is really hot and humid, not as bad as when i was in Darwin. Just walking around the city during lunch you will produce a pretty good sweat.
