Settings Help???

Was hoping someone could help or guide me with regards to Windows 98 settings.

My old settings happened to change by themselves and I cant get back to my old ones.

My main problem is the display settings. They changed by themselves to 16 color. And whenever I try and change it, the computer restarts and Im left with the same old 16 colors setting

Its like Im in safe mode, but Im not.

Can anyone help please?

Sounds like the video card driver is corrupt, reinstall the driver. Make sure you have the right video adaptor (iirc) selected

I think I have a video and sound card in one.. - Soundblaster awe32 or something..

I tried putting the floppy in and when it went top read I got a message saying the disk is corrupted with the doom 11 death virus i think.. but said restored.. I didnt chance any further..
